“I aspire to work in Computer Science, finding ways to help the future youth. I believe that great potential is wasted everyday when people are not taught properly and I want to help provide people with opportunities similar to my own.”

Meet Mohamad…

Mohamad is Palestinian and is from Saida, Lebanon. During his spare time at university, Mohamad was very engaged in extracurricular activities, many of which linked back to the Middle East.

Mohamad studied Computer Science at Vassar College. He was the co-president of the Middle-Eastern North African association, was involved in the refugee support programme, and was hired at the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester as a research assistant for a professor in the Arabic program. He is also the chair of outreach at the VC++ Computer Science Club where he’s responsible for reaching out to students, contacting alumni, and organising talks and events.

With diverse interests in astrophysics, physics, philosophy, computer science, politics, history, and economics, Vassar College is perfect in its broad and outstanding curriculum. Mohamad, driven by passion to create and innovate, intends to become a software engineer. He’s always on the look out for exciting opportunities to apply what he has learnt and to improve his skills, whether in the US, UK, or Lebanon.
